📢 Heads up, Rexburg! Starting Monday morning (8/25) at 7:30 a.m., our phone lines will be getting an upgrade.

Rexburg! 🎉 We are so excited to “Celebrate Youth” with you and Madison School District #321 today at Porter Park! It’s one of the biggest community traditions of the year, and we can’t wait to see families and students come together to kick off the school year. 🍎✏️
That said… sometimes life throws us lemons (or in this case, a few construction cones). 🚧 Road work unexpectedly began today alongside Porter Park on S 2nd W. While this wasn’t communicated to City teams ahead of time to avoid this scenario, we’re making lemonade of it together. That section of the road is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction. With that in mind, avoiding that area as much as possible is advised, particularly during today's event, which is from 2-7 pm.
👉 Please allow yourself extra time when heading to the event and watch for construction and community traffic that will be heavy in the area.
An alternative to consider, the school district is offering two shuttles for convenient parking and transportation from the Junior High and Middle School parking lots. 🚍
Thank you for your patience, positivity, and community spirit. We’ll make lemonade out of this one, Rexburg style! 💛 See you at the park!

As "America's Family Community", safety is our top priority. While canals may seem like an inviting place to cool off, they are incredibly dangerous. More Idaho children drown in canals than in any other water body. No adult, child, or pet should ever swim or play near a canal. Instead, enjoy the summer sun at Rexburg Rapids or the Porter Park Splash Pad, where fun is cool and safe! Help us protect every member of our family community with wise water habits today and every day. 💧⚠️

The splash pad is re-opening at 12 pm today!!

We're so excited for the Rexburg 4th of July parade to sprinkle some star-spangled cheer on our streets this week! A heads-up: if you start decorating City property—like parks, sidewalks, streets, or alleys—with things like blankets, chairs, or coolers before 6:00 pm on July 3rd, our City crews will turn it into a game of finders keeprs, collecting your goodies to stash away until you can retrie them after the holiday.
Keeping it festive and fun is kind and courteous to all the parade goers, and as always, be safe. Keep little firecrackers (and big ones, too) out of the street at all times during the parade; that Tootsie Roll can wait! We also recommend bringing your sunscreen and water bottles to avoid getting overheated. Nobody likes a passed-out passerby.
Once the confetti settles, head over to Porter Park for exciting activities and delicious food waiting for your arrival! The Party in the Park is sure to keep the spirit going all day long! We can't wait to celebrate this holiday with you!
We have to give a special shout-out to the @Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce for dedicating their tireless efforts to making these two events happen. Their commitment to our community is truly commendable. We’re grateful for their dedication and can’t wait to see the results of their efforts come to life in just a few days!

City Hall and our affiliated offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th, in honor of the Fourth of July. Emergency Services and our recreation facilities will remain in operation as usual.
Trash and recycling pickup, normally scheduled for Friday, will be picked up on Saturday, July 5th.
We hope you enjoy your holiday! Stay Safe, Rexburg!

Be a part of the celebration by running in our annual Main Street Mile! The race runs the route of the parade before the floats take over the street to cheering crowds along the entire way. This is such a fun way to celebrate the 4th, and we know you don't want to miss it! Register for the race online at rexburgraces.com.

We are so excited for our new all-abilities play equipment over at Smith Park that we're hosting a ribbon cutting to thank the generous donors of these two fun play pieces! Join us at Smith Park this Friday, June 27th, at 10:00 am to help us give a special thanks to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for the donation of the whirl, and the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation for the donation of the swing!
Bring the kids, let's play and have some fun!

On Juneteenth, we honor the past, celebrate progress, and recommit to building a future of true equality.
City Hall and our affiliated offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth. Emergency services will remain in operation as usual.
Trash normally picked up on Thursday, the 19th, will be picked up on Friday, the 20th.
Let freedom ring!

🚦🏃♂️ATTENTION REXBURG!
The Teton Dam Marathon is coming through town this Saturday, June 7th, and with it, you might encounter traffic delays and a few street closures to ensure the safety of all participants. Please note: the route has been updated this year—affected streets on the east and southeast side of town will be closed starting at 5 am and reopen after the last runner passes through, usually by 2 pm.

Due to unforeseen circumstances (our boiler is having trouble), we regret that we have to delay the opening date of Rexburg Rapids.
We hope to be ready for opening on Monday, June 9th. How important are heated pools anyway? Only kidding. We can't wait to see you when the water warms up!
