We're so excited for the Rexburg 4th of July parade to sprinkle some star-spangled cheer on our streets this week! A heads-up: if you start decorating City property—like parks, sidewalks, streets, or alleys—with things like blankets, chairs, or coolers before 6:00 pm on July 3rd, our City crews will turn it into a game of finders keeprs, collecting your goodies to stash away until you can retrie them after the holiday.
Keeping it festive and fun is kind and courteous to all the parade goers, and as always, be safe. Keep little firecrackers (and big ones, too) out of the street at all times during the parade; that Tootsie Roll can wait! We also recommend bringing your sunscreen and water bottles to avoid getting overheated. Nobody likes a passed-out passerby.
Once the confetti settles, head over to Porter Park for exciting activities and delicious food waiting for your arrival! The Party in the Park is sure to keep the spirit going all day long! We can't wait to celebrate this holiday with you!
We have to give a special shout-out to the @Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce for dedicating their tireless efforts to making these two events happen. Their commitment to our community is truly commendable. We’re grateful for their dedication and can’t wait to see the results of their efforts come to life in just a few days!

We hope you enjoy your holiday! Stay Safe, Rexburg!

A Local Improvement District, or LID, is a method the City uses to cover the cost of expenses for improvements to localized projects like sidewalks and street curbs.

Imagine for a moment... The year is 1911. There are no motorized vehicles. No motorized machines. No electrical tools or any of today's modern conveniences. In that year, working in those conditions, while also dealing with inconveniences like weather and other hazards, a team of citizens came together to build the Rexburg Tabernacle in ONLY 8 MONTHS! This feat is noteworthy for many reasons, but its completion is a testament to the community and legacy of the building that is Still Standing here in Rexburg over a century later. We'll be sharing this story and more over the next few weeks. We hope you stay tuned and enjoy...Tabernacle Tuesday. 📷: historical photo of people gathered to watch men working to lay the cornerstone of the Tabernacle in Rexburg, dated 1911
